By Train

Direct connections with Barcelona. From Barcelona Sants Station, take RENFE R2 Sud to Sitges (35–40 min). From the station: 20‑minute walk or taxi.

By Car

Access via the

Bus Garraf services connect Sitges with Barcelona and the airport. Travel time: 45–60 min.

The conference will be conducted entirely in English, and no translation services will be provided.

Valencia has a rich Mediterranean culture, blending tradition and modernity. While Spanish is the main language used in daily life, you may also hear Valencian in local contexts.

Learning a few basic expressions can enhance your experience:

Climate & Clothing

As the Congress will take place in January, attendees can expect mild winter weather.

  • Generally sunny, with cooler mornings and evenings

Spain operates on a 230V electrical system with Type F plugs (two round pins).

Participants traveling from outside Europe may need a power adapter.

  • It is advisable to carry some cash for small purchases

ATMs are widely available across the city.

Taxes & Tipping

  • VAT (Value Added Tax) is included in most prices
  • Non-EU residents may be eligible for VAT refunds on certain purchases

Tipping is not mandatory in Spain, but leaving a small tip in restaurants or cafés is appreciated.

The conference organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents, medical issues, or loss/damage of personal belongings. Participants are strongly advised to arrange appropriate travel and health insurance before traveling.
